Asier Polo, new Professor at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana

The Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana welcomes Asier Polo as its new Professor of Violoncello. The incorporation will be effective as of the next academic year 2019/2020.

The Swiss Conservatory, based in the city of Lugano, gathers more than 30 years of history of musical excellence and maintains a close relationship with the renowned Orchestra della Svizzera italiana.

Asier Polo joins the Violoncello Faculty of the Scuola Universitaria di Musica, the section of the Conservatorio which brings together the higher musical education (Bachelor and Master’s Degrees), and whose team is leaded by the acclaimed cellist Enrico Dindo.

In the words of Asier Polo:

“It’s fantastic news, very important for me as a musician and as a teacher. It is an honor to be part of this great team of musicians, admired artists and colleagues who make up this Swiss musical university, in the heart of Europe.”
